Shoreditch Town Hall is looking for a Senior Technical Manager to join our team!
One of the grandest former civic buildings in London with a rich and varied history, Shoreditch Town Hall has established itself in the last decade as a leading cultural venue, live events space and community destination.
Our landmark Grade II listed building houses spaces which range from a cozy capacity of 40 to an expansive and versatile 750 seat auditorium. Our business tenants are drawn from the digital and creative industries and prestige hospitality, and our public spaces are brought to life with an eclectic and forward-thinking programme of performances and activities targeted at the wider public and our local audiences.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage the smooth operation of all technical aspects, including staffing, of the events and artistic programme.
2. Oversee all matters relating to technical maintenance and health and safety.
3. Ensure a consistently high level of service for all artists, event hirers, and users of the building.
We’re looking for a friendly and motivated individual: someone passionate about our work, who is prepared to get stuck in and make a significant contribution to the Town Hall.
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £35,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week to include evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays where necessary
This role is offered on a full-time basis, however we are flexible and open to considering part-time (4 days a week) applications, or a job share for the right candidate(s). Shoreditch Town Hall has busy periods (Spring/Autumn/Winter) and quiet periods (Summer) across the year, and this role does require evening and weekend work during busier periods. We welcome applications from candidates who may be returning to work after a pause in their career, and those who are looking to balance the role with other hobbies/work.
If you would like to discuss a more flexible working contract please mention this clearly in your cover letter.
