CY Executive Resourcing are excited to be working with a visionary NHS Trust in the Midlands, as they look to recruit a Financial Income Manager on a fixed term basis for 12 months.

The Financial Income Manager will oversee the operational leadership of the Income and Planning elements of the Financial Business Intelligence team.
Key responsibilities:
* Responsible for ensuring both the Income system (SLAM) and the Medium-Term Plan of the trust are maintained
* Maintenance of a contracts register, so the Trust is aware of upcoming renewals/tenders
* Liaising with relevant organisational managers across the Trust to develop, produce and analyse the Trust Medium Term Financial Plan
* Ensuring high quality analysis to the wider Finance Team to aid planning, budget management and business case completion
* Leading on the development of Financial Business Intelligence Reports/Dashboards to be shared with the wider trust to help inform decisions on improving patient care and ensuring financial sustainability
* Liaising with the ICS to support, understand and develop the use of Finance systems (e.g. SLAM) benchmarking, both within the trust and the Integrated Care System
* Ensuring expert financial leadership regarding all aspects of the Trust’s clinical activity, income and contracting processes
* Supporting the Trust in developing and complying with its clinical contracts
* Acting as point of contact for some of the main Acute Contracts that the trust holds
* Ensuring that the submission timetables and deadlines of the external planning and monitoring information to NHSE and the ICS are met
* Ensuring internal Reporting of committee papers on a monthly basis, showing and explaining the financial position of the trust
* Interpreting and updating the wider trust on any national and local planning and reporting updates
Applicants should be experienced in the NHS, particularly Income, and have significant knowledge of financial reporting and benchmarking. You will have a strong understanding of Payment by Results (PbR) and SLAM, and possess strong Excel skills to enable the analysis of complex data. Candidates should be fully qualified or part qualified accountants.
This is a hybrid role, requiring a minimum of 2 days per week on site in the Midlands.
