Dunbar Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join a renowned specialist SEN school in Shrewsbury. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of students with special educational needs. The successful candidate will be expected to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, helping them to achieve their full potential.
Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
Develop and implement individualized learning plans.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents.
Support students with personal care needs, if required.
Contribute to the development of resources and strategies to support students with SEN.Requirements:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a specialist SEN setting.
Strong understanding of various SEN conditions and effective strategies to support them.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children with special needs.
Relevant qualifications or training in Special Educational Needs (desirable).
