Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher - Full-time, Permanent (September 2025 Start) A diverse Mixed School in Ealing is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Drama and Theatre Studies Teacher to join our Performing Arts department. We are looking for an educator who can ignite a passion for theatre in our students and provide them with a comprehensive understanding of dramatic arts. About the Role: Deliver engaging and challenging Drama and Theatre Studies lessons across Key Stages 3-5, including GCSE and A-Level, covering areas such as acting techniques, theatre history, script analysis, and stagecraft. Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that encourage practical exploration, critical analysis, and creative expression, ensuring students develop a strong understanding of diverse theatrical styles and practitioners. Direct and produce school plays, theatre productions, and performance projects, providing students with opportunities to showcase their talents and develop their performance skills. Assess student progress through practical performances, written evaluations, and presentations, providing detailed and constructive feedback to support their artistic growth. Organize and facilitate theatre workshops, visits to professional theatre productions, and guest lectures from theatre professionals, enriching students' understanding of the theatre industry. Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Drama and Theatre Studies or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic background and extensive experience in theatre practice. Extensive experience directing and producing theatre productions, with a proven track record of successful performances. Strong knowledge of acting techniques, theatre history, script analysis, and stagecraft. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
