Client Service Manager required. Our client is a well-known and respected HVAC contractor with the majority of their accounts operating within the commercial sector, including restaurants, hotels, and leisure centres, as well as clients operating sites within healthcare, industrial, or education settings.
They have a nationwide presence, with regional offices throughout the UK supporting over 130 employees and generating a turnover in excess of £20M. They offer installation, service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair on a range of HVAC equipment, predominantly air conditioning, chillers, AHU's, ventilation, and commercial heating.
Our client's business is set up as an Employee-Owned Trust, effectively making all employees collective owners of the business. The benefits of operating this way mean that you, as an employee, genuinely have a say in the company's management and can be involved in decision-making processes. As the company generates profits, these will be distributed to employees. Its aim is to provide a long-term view of business success where employees have a vested interest in the company's performance and longevity.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for a P&L of approximately £1.3M. The day-to-day responsibilities will be to efficiently manage the service and maintenance contract and operations throughout the patch, ensuring client satisfaction is achieved. To succeed in the targets set for the patch, the Manager will oversee and manage a team of mobile engineers, driving service quality standards and productivity of the engineers. The Manager must also ensure continuous improvements as well as maintaining and growing client relationships to ensure contract extensions and remedial works while keeping tabs on profit and loss monitoring top and bottom-line figures and cost control.
It is expected that the successful candidate will be a stable, committed, driven, and commercially astute service manager/operations manager with proven, demonstrable experience in HVAC technical mastery, management and leadership, client relationships, and controlling P&L.
Client Service Manager Position Requirements
1. Proven service management or operations management experience leading and planning work for a team of engineers.
2. HVAC technical background with knowledge of heating, cooling, wet systems, and plant rooms.
3. Confident in leading technical conversations with clients discussing systems, service and maintenance works, schedules, and remedial works.
4. Proven client-facing/customer service skills with experience in service and maintenance contract framework and negotiations.
5. Drive for continuous professional development, progression, and increasing responsibilities.
6. Confident with P&L, budget, and cost control.
Client Service Manager Position Remuneration
1. Basic salary flexible dependent on experience.
2. Car allowance circa £5k per annum.
3. Annual bonus targeted on net profit, service, compliance & engineer development.
4. Employee-owned trust profit sharing scheme, increases with time served.
5. Pension.
