Our Newcastle office is currently recruiting for a People Experience Assistant (12 month FTC) to support with transactional processes across the employment life cycle and to provide administrative support to the People & Culture function and the wider business where appropriate.
The Role
This role will be based in Newcastle and will report to the People Experience Supervisor also based in Newcastle. The role holder will be responsible for providing exceptional HR service delivery to employees across the London and Newcastle offices and wider business where appropriate, including the execution of all operational HR activities and query resolution. The role holder will work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure the delivery of a high level, accurate service and will ensure the timely delivery of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing support to the People Experience team on administrative tasks. Liaising with internal and external clients when needed
* Maintaining employee files and ensuring all electronic filing is updated on a weekly basis as a minimum.
* Working closely with the systems team carrying out data audits and quality checks and providing feedback as appropriate.
* Assisting the wider HR team with ad-hoc administration tasks, event administration, and HR audits (e.g. for diversity and inclusion team, graduate recruitment team, and the recruitment team).
* Acting as a point of contact for any feedback regarding work undertaken and escalating to the People Experience Advisor where appropriate.
* Participating in ad-hoc project work and involvement.
Skills and Experience Required
* Exceptional customer service skills with a people-centric mindset
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal at all stakeholder levels
* Must present a professional, friendly, and client-focused attitude and approach at all times
* Confident and flexible approach to taking on new tasks and projects
* Ability to problem-solve while maintaining a positive employee experience
* Administrative experience with strong organizational skills and an ability to effectively prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
* Enthusiastic and ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demanding internal clients.
* Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Accuracy and strong attention to detail
* Experience of working in an office environment is ideal but not essential; however, we are looking for someone who has an interest in HR and is keen to learn more and develop within the team
* Flexible in relation to hours, prepared to work late where business requirements dictate
* Ideally experience using Workday
