The Suffolk Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) was developed because of learning from previous experiences, especially from lessons highlighted by reviews of serious safeguarding incidents across the country. The MASH receives and processes and makes decisions for all safeguarding referrals/concerns are raised about a child or adult who is reported to be at risk of harm, abuse, or neglect. Suffolk MASH consists of around 60 professionals from health, police, fire services, education, social care, probation, youth justice, mental health services and housing. Your role and responsibilities You will: safeguard children through collaboration and assessments maintain NMC registration and work to The Code You will support in the health contribution in the MASH and be responsible for promoting and supporting professional practice, through the provision of advice and expertise in collaboration with other key partners. You will gather and interpret information from relevant health services for the families of children referred into MASH. You will work with a range of key professionals to contribute to the ongoing development and delivery of services designed to protect children and young people from harm and promote their welfare through safeguarding processes. These include local and national agencies for example LSCB, Midwives, acute colleagues, GP’s, local authority partners, police, fire and ambulance services. We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and adaptable Health Visitor who wants to develop their safeguarding skills and knowledge within the safeguarding arena. You will need: Qualification as a Health Visitor NMC registration as a qualified nurse, midwife or allied health professional passion for safeguarding children and their families strong communication, interpersonal and listening abilities commitment to our WE ASPIRE values.
