Are you an experienced Physiotherapist looking for a challenge clinically, managerially and operationally?
An exciting opportunity has become available in the Elderly Medicine Therapy Team. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team, covering both Elderly and General Medical wards.
You will work alongside the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist, supporting the coordination, supervision and management of the Therapy team across the Elderly and General Medicine Wards at Royal Derby Hospital.
You will have the opportunity to make a difference to a varied caseload of patients across the wards and you will be instrumental in influencing length of stay, and flow through the hospital.
It is vital you are able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills and experience in the management of these patients.
You will lead on service development and project work.
You will need to have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing to work flexibly.

Main duties of the job
You will be able to demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning, critical thinking and analysis skills in the treatment of acute medical patients.
You will need to manage a clinical caseload across the wards, have an overview of the caseloads across the team and maintain an excellent relationship with the MDT.
You will need to demonstrate clinical and professional leadership experience, a passion for developing the service and the ability to remain calm and resilient under pressure.
Our friendly team comprises of: Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Assistants, Generic Therapy Assistants and Admin Support.
