Role The Senior Brand Manager will own the in-year delivery of the brand business plan, and set the 2yr direction of the brand - leading the define, design & delivery, including delivery through others, and ultimately realizing profitable growth. Responsibilities Deliver Results To deliver in year brand portfolio budget sales and profit targets To translate brand strategies & plans into building blocks for sales execution in store & online, with packaging and imagery and range that makes brands easy to find and shop Create compelling strategies and brand plans. To turn data into insight to create actionable plans for sales and retailer execution To set a clear year 1 PMO vision & strategy of what success looks like for brand portfolio, with clear direction for brand growth and clear execution levers, to bring the brand vision to life Engages retail partners with inspiring category building growth plans that secure execution of brand growth building blocks Engage stakeholders across the business & externally in retailers and 3rd parties, the brand vision to ensure delivery Communication and Media Planning Manage communication plans that get the brand noticed and drive a consumer engagement, and sales return ROI Manage media plans that maximise brand health and sales return against A&P investment Measure and track A&P effectiveness and ROI Portfolio Management NPD - To manage the development of a healthy brand portfolio pipeline of incremental and margin additive innovation to drive branded growth into new needs, channels or usage occasions. EPD - To constantly renovate the portfolio for maximum consumer or cost advantage (NAMO) Leads the renovation of a healthy and profitable range portfolio, minimising unprofitable complexity and maximising profitable core sales & retailer/category growth Build & align 2yr innovation pipeline, designed to exploit brand strengths & consumer and category opportunities - balancing short term tactical needs, with long term strategic growth Governance of promo guidelines and channel strategies to ensure sustainable growth (include input in to & leadership of the defining of these strategies, together with SRM) Brand & Functional Leadership Contribute to an effective marketing function, role modelling engagement, developing junior team members and driving best practice across the wider Marketing Team Knowledge, skills and experience (Desirable) Degree calibre with post graduate depth of business understanding Proven commercial experience in a branded / FMCG business with evidence of blue-chip technical training and development Track record of personally led and driven business and brand growth FMCG operational understanding and cross functional experience Proven track record of building strong brands and strong commercial relationships.
