Position Summary:
Reports to: Area Operations Manager
Working Hours: 12 hour shifts, based on a 3/4 pattern rotating across nights and days. Some bank holidays.

Main Accountability:
Our Production Operatives (PO) are a crucial part of our operation, working across every area of the plant to maintain high standards. You will be part of a busy team committed to the PepsiCo brand, supported by a team of coordinators, and responsible for the performance of your zone using our LEAN Manufacturing framework.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
* Operate effectively one of our food packing lines as part of a small line team.
* Carry out and record all quality checks at specified intervals, escalating any non-conformances.
* Perform all sanitation & CRP tasks to the required standard and complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner to ensure full traceability.
* Maintain a safe, healthy, and hygienic workplace, working safely and improving safety through plant systems.
* Drive the plant key performance indicator (KPI) targets of cost, quality, service, hygiene, and safety.
* Take responsibility and ownership for your zone and the plant in general, including good housekeeping and hygiene.
* Operate using OEE data to improve cost, quality, efficiency, and reduce waste.
* Use data from Lineview to understand machine performance and initiate root cause analysis for any gaps to standard.
* Ability to work independently and in a small team.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Previous experience in food manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
* Good numeric and computer skills are an advantage.
* Ability to work well within a team environment with good communication skills.
* Ability to operate machinery and carry out minor adjustments if required.
* Results-focused to ensure all targets are met.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Self-motivated and uses initiative.
* Strong team player with a continuous improvement approach.
* Promotes safe working practices.
