Mission of the role: The mission of this role is to drive Visteon’s growth with JLR by managing the core account relationship, enhancing product differentiation, and executing strategic plans. Acting as the primary point of contact, this role will leverage insights into JLR’s priorities and processes to lead critical commercial negotiations, fostering a partnership that strengthens and expands Visteon’s business footprint. Key Responsibilities : Customer Engagement Provide the local customer Sales and Commercial interface to JLR customer. Daily customer and internal networking lead to plan and progress all new business strategic business development opps Support the ongoing development of Visteon’s strategic business plan to maximise profitable growth in alignment or above the business plan with JLR - across all current and expansion product lines Provide local JLR lead commercial account management role across all facets of the forward and current model business, with key interactions with our Palmela, Portugal based account and account associate team Communicate and disseminate information from the customer to the Visteon platform and program teams, ensuring understanding of the customer organisation, processes and strategic developments Maintain and improve the customer relationships with the purchasing, product and strategic engineering, program management and product strategy decision makers at JLR Ensure commercial implications of contractual agreements (Sourcing Agreements, Commercial Pricing Agreements, Statements of Work, Terms and Conditions) with the customer for new Programs are understood by the Program teams, and are accounted for in project plans and profitability models Ensure sign-off of accepted Sourcing Agreements, Commercial Pricing Agreements and Design Changes from the customer’s commodity purchasing organisation Ensure retention of contractual documentation in line with Company standards Business Development Anticipate the issuing of Requests for Quote, and alert appropriate Business Leaders so that advanced preparation can be done Develop and communicate intelligence on market pricing, regularly assessing market movements for impact on future negotiations Determine, communicate, and resolve any discriminators that will influence the awarding of business Anticipate and communicate all competitive insights Proactively maintain all internal new business tracking tools – IFS, Quest and Enterproj Lead preparation for all new business internal review/approval meetings (Gate 0/1) Commercial Account Management Lead coordination of JLR account management with remote account/associate account items requiring direct customer (F2F) negotiation as required Forward Model Quotation Development Lead / co-lead as agreed the internal development of product pricing in response to Requests for Quote and Design Change Requests, ensuring timely response to the customer Lead or support new business proposals and prepare quotations for submission to the customer – preparation for internal Change Control Board reviews Negotiate with customer to achieve highest possible price point above walk away price, whilst maintaining commodity-pricing credibility with the customer Maintain auditable records for product pricing determination in line with VBOS processes Annual & Strategic Negotiation Drive resolution to supply related semiconductor and other surcharge recoveries aligned to Visteon corporate needs Determine market movements for all existing products due to introduction of new competitive price points Provide feature walks from new competitive price points to existing products in order to defend price gap with customer Engage customer’s commodity purchasing organisation to agree market movements Determine specific Visteon conditions of settlement, including payment of outstanding claims, award of new business, resolution of business issues Propose settlement plans and going in position for negotiation Cash Flow Bill and obtain customer payment on all customer receivables including tooling and engineering costs Track outstanding claims until resolution Ensure customer purchase orders are in place for all parts, minimising late payments Qualification, Experience and Skills: Cockpit and Vehicle Electronics product strategy awareness Good technical and commercial understanding for the Visteon core products Manufacturing process awareness and supply commercial considerations Visteon business processes and tools experience Ability for dynamic and complex task prioritization Strong analytical approach and negotiation resolution experience Flexibility to travel as required Nice-To-Have: JLR product portfolio knowledge Relationship connections to JLR purchasing Innovative approach to challenge resolution Key Behaviors: Critical Thinking Collaboration Resilience Result Orientation Visteon values and beliefs Reporting Structure : This role will report to the Customer Business Unit Director Visteon Culture : If you thrive in a fast-paced, organizational culture that requires agility, adaptability, and a growth mindset from its employees to thrive and stay ahead of the curve Visteon is the place.
