This is an exciting, new created opportunity for a proactive and commercially minded individual to take ownership of the finance function and drive real value to the business.
The Role:
* Reporting directly to the senior director team, you will oversee the finance and accounts operations, ensuring they run efficiently and effectively. With significant autonomy, you will have the opportunity to revamp current accounting processes, implement best practices, and add real commercial insight to our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:.
* Manage and oversee all aspects of the finance function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and credit control.
* Produce detailed monthly management accounts and in-depth financial reports for the senior leadership team.
* Drive improvements in the accounts function by overhauling systems and processes to create a more effective and streamlined operation.
* Use Sage accounting software to manage and report on financial activities.
* Ensure timely and accurate completion of the sales ledger and credit control processes to maintain healthy cash flow.
* Provide commercial insights to support strategic decision-making.
* Collaborate with the senior leadership team to identify opportunities for financial growth and efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
About You:
* An experienced and commercially focused accountant significant experience in a financial management role.
* Proven expertise in using Sage accounting software.
* Strong track record of producing accurate management accounts and financial reports.
* A hands-on approach with a high level of attention to detail and commercial acumen.
* Experience in improving and overhauling finance functions to enhance efficiency.
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
* Ambitious, with a desire for progression and the potential to move into senior roles within the group.
