Country Homes For Children is a locally owned company led by a team who have been firmly established for over 20 years as an Outstanding provider of services for children. We extend that quality of service to the Staffordshire region. To support our ongoing development plans, we are looking for suitably qualified and experienced Residential Care Workers to join our team in the Staffordshire area, near Eccleshall ST20.

MUST DRIVE (but the home has its own cars).
Safeguarding our young people is of paramount importance, as is our core ethos of providing quality care and education within a holistic, therapeutic environment. All candidates must share this ethos.
All candidates will be required to go through a robust recruitment process and Enhanced DBS checking against Children’s Barred List. All staff involved in recruitment have undergone a stringent 'Safer Recruitment Course'.
A full-time role is 173 hours per month with an average of 8 sleep-ins. All sleep-ins are paid separately at £50 each. The average pay range with the average of sleep-ins is £29,608 to £30,750.
The Role as a Children's Residential Support Worker:
1. To work with children and young people according to their individual needs, providing focused work and shift planning, and to lead your team.
2. To assist in the coordination of activities within the home and ensure that they are well managed and produce safe and consistent care.
3. To be involved in and organize activities that are in the best interests and meet the needs of our young people.
4. To promote professionalism at all times.
5. To promote the culture of flexibility and teamwork among the workforce and be prepared to work in other homes if required.
6. To be an effective role model for young people and staff.
7. Participate in training courses as arranged and undertake professional training if the opportunity is offered.
8. To work flexible hours including weekends and bank holidays.
9. Always observe confidentiality in relation to the Home and its residents, recognizing their vulnerability.
10. Good communication skills.
11. Good numeracy and literacy skills.
12. Have a flexible approach to work, location, duties, and hours.
13. Ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team.
