The Role
Reporting to the ICT Manager, the ICT Assistant will provide comprehensive, friendly, and efficient IT support, focusing on 1st and 2nd line issues for the entire organisation.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the support desk, responding to enquiries made via email, phone, or in person.
* Conduct problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes, restoring services for users as quickly as possible, escalating incidents to the ICT Manager when necessary.
* Accurately log, update, and resolve tickets in the IT ticketing system promptly and effectively.
* Provide technical support for the delivery, configuration, setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware, phones, and software (including conference room equipment and printers).
* Deliver inductions and basic IT training to staff and barristers.
* Create user accounts and reset passwords, ensuring correct permissions and compliance with the Data Protection Act.
* Assist in developing end-user training materials and coordinating courses to help employees maximise computing resources.
* Help define and optimise the evolution of the IT environment, ensuring users have the best possible experience.
Key Requirements
* Proven expertise in 1st/2nd line support.
* Monday to Friday onsite 09:00-17:30
* Extensive knowledge of Windows Server 2016, Exchange 2016, and Active Directory.
* Proficient in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
* Experience with Microsoft Authentication and Office 365 administration.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
* Broad understanding of computer hardware, software, security, and networking.
* Skilled in diagnosing and resolving technical problems, with the ability to provide advanced support to non-technical users.
* Hands-on experience with backup solutions and antivirus software.
* Proficient in using IT ticketing systems.
* Expertise in mobile devices and smartphone technologies (Android and Apple).
