Domestic Assistant - Part time 10 hours per week
We are looking for a motivated and caring individual to join our family run, expanding organisation. As the Domestic Assistant you will be a valued member of our friendly, professional, and dedicated team.
Your role will be to keep a high standard of appearance to contribute to the quality of care and lifestyle afforded to each care user. This is particularly applicable to each care user’s privacy and dignity and in respect of each care users’ personal possessions.
Principal responsibilities:
1. To clean all allocated rooms including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets, and equipment.
2. To be aware of the health and safety statement and of the COSHH statement.
3. To follow Infection Control Policies and procedures.
4. To follow the services safeguarding policies, requiring an awareness of signs of abuse and neglect, and reporting if suspected.
5. To clean sanitary and other equipment, with particular attention to guidelines for the control of germs and infestation.
6. To report any malfunction of equipment or fittings that require maintenance or cannot be kept to standard through normal cleaning procedures.
7. To deal with the waste bags and their prescribed disposal.
8. To perform other such reasonable duties as may be required.
9. Ensure Policies and Procedures are followed.
10. Manage feedback and adjust accordingly.
11. Inform management of any issues that may need to be addressed.
12. To ensure that all records are accurately kept.
13. To provide a positive role model for members of the staff team and service users in line with Community Places core values and the Duty of Care.
14. Cascade relevant information to members of the team.
15. As part of our team at Community Places you will build a rapport with our residents.
