Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Salary: £48,000 - £52,000

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join our clients' engineering team at our state-of-the-art automated warehouse in Corby. This role is crucial in ensuring the continued efficiency and reliability of our automated systems, minimising downtime, and maintaining a high level of operational performance. You will be responsible for electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs across a variety of automated and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical and automation systems.
* Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic faults on conveyors, sorters, robotics, and PLC-controlled equipment.
* Carry out fault-finding and problem-solving to minimise operational downtime.
* Work with PLC systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.), ensuring quick fault diagnosis and resolution.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company policies.
* Support and collaborate with the wider engineering team and production staff.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, fault analysis, and repairs.
* Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
* Continuously seek ways to improve system performance and efficiency.
Key Skills & Experience Required:
* Electrical Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, HND, or equivalent).
* 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification (or willingness to obtain).
* Proven experience working in an automated environment (warehousing, FMCG, manufacturing, or logistics).
* Strong understanding of PLCs (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, etc.).
* Experience with conveyor systems, robotics, and automated machinery is advantageous.
* Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a shift-based team.
* Good communication skills and attention to detail.
Shift Pattern:
* Rotating shifts covering days, nights, and weekends as per business needs.
