The Payroll and Benefits Team Lead will be responsible for effectively managing and delivering a robust company employee payroll and benefits operation for the Group and Banking divisions and specific benefits (Healthcare and Risk Insurances) for all divisions across Close Brothers Group, whilst ensuring agreed service performance levels are met alongside consistent compliance with statutory regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES Full management of the monthly payroll payment processing in line with legislation and Company policy for the Group and Banking Divisions. Assist the Compensation and Benefits Manager in the co-ordination of annual benefits scheme renewals for all group divisions. Build and foster strong relationships with stakeholders, understanding their service requirements and ensuring any issues are dealt with in a prompt and professional manner. Administer year end payroll processing (e.g. P11d) and reporting in line with legislation. Provide monthly MI reports on payroll and benefit related KPIs. Take a proactive lead on payroll and benefit related projects ensuring full engagement and any changes are clearly defined, approved, tested and documented. Empower, nurture and engage team members in an inclusive culture through coaching, mentoring and team-development in order to increase productivity performance. Provide regular constructive feedback to direct reports and encourage employees to take proactive responsibility for their own personal development. Developing Our People: as a line manager, you will be responsible for inspiring and motivating your team, as well as developing performance through coaching. You will encourage your team to take responsibility for their own personal development and provide support through regular feedback. WE WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU HAVE: Proven knowledge and experience of Payroll and Benefit management in a multi-site complex organisation. Knowledge and experience of processing in-house payrolls. Demonstrable experience of managing and motivating a Payroll and Benefits team. In-depth and current knowledge of payroll and benefit legislation. Advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables etc).
