Job title: Shipping Coordinator
Reporting to: Shipping Team Leader
Location: Bury St. Edmunds, Suffolk (Hybrid working opportunities available)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
The Opportunity
As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing efficient day-to-day coordination and administrative support to our Imports/Exports activities. You will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance of our imports and exports and the effective movement of goods globally to fulfill our internal and external customer requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
* Handling all aspects of Imports for Treatt UK
* Dealing with Customs matters including Warehousing & IPR Suspension
* Tracking the ETA of imports and relaying data to the Purchasing Department
* Arranging export shipments across all modes of transport
* Preparing export documentation, including Health Certificates, Certificates of Origin, and Export Licenses
* Supporting the flow of information between departments such as Goods-in, Sales, Labs, Planning, and Shipping
* Collating information for new structures and systems to support the business
* Ensuring JDE information is current and submitting updates as needed
* Reviewing changes in freight legislation
* Monitoring agents’ service and costs to ensure standards are met
* Providing support to other logistics areas as required
What We’re Looking For
If you are passionate about your work and thrive in a team-oriented environment, you might be the right fit. Our ideal candidate will have:
* 5 GCSEs or equivalent to Grade C (4) or above, including English and Maths
* At least two years’ experience in an office environment
* Dangerous Goods qualifications (desirable)
* Strong organizational skills, proactive, able to manage priorities independently
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both spoken and written
* Experience with Import and Export processes (beneficial but not essential)
* Ability to build good relationships with colleagues and customers
* Attention to detail, friendly, and helpful nature
* Proven ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Proficiency in PC applications, especially Word & Excel
* Curiosity, drive, and determination to improve continuously
