About the Job
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team at Human Engineering, where you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of heavy equipment, including cranes, excavators, dumpers, crushers, and screeners or piling equipment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in servicing and maintaining heavy equipment, as well as excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs, as well as providing technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
* Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, implementing timely and effective solutions.
* Conduct thorough examinations of components to identify potential defects or deficiencies.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to schedule and execute service activities, minimizing downtime and maximizing crane uptime.
* Provide technical guidance and support to customers and onsite personnel, ensuring proper operation and maintenance practices.
* Maintain accurate records of service activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and equipment documentation.
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Engineering discipline.
* Experience working with heavy equipment in a field service capacity.
* Knowledge of heavy equipment/mining systems, including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic components.
* Diagnostics and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients and team members effectively.
* Driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
Salary Package:
* Salary package commensurate with experience (£55,000 - £65,000 per annum).
