A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Data Analyst to join the Pavers Head Office Team at Northminster Business Park, York. This role sits in our Data Team as a result of internal progression of a colleague. This role is offered as a full-time permanent opportunity in a growing business where you are encouraged to develop your skills in a supportive environment.
Our Data Engineering & Analytics Team have a key role to play in the business’s operations, and as a Data Analyst, you will deliver analytics and insights to stakeholders, extracting data from our Enterprise Data Hub in Snowflake, and using Tableau to visualise these. The business is continually growing and evolving, moving at a fast pace, and good quality insightful data is key to ensuring this continues.
The role encompasses maintaining and enhancing existing reports and dashboards as well as working on business prioritised projects in line with our data strategy. The role will suit a colleague who has a few years commercial experience in a Data Analyst/Reporting Analyst role with the experience of using Tableau, alongside an analytical mindset. High attention to detail is a must, with an appetite to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.

Here’s what we are looking for to be our Data Analyst:
* A minimum of 2 years Data Analyst or reporting analyst experience in a commercial role (Essential)
* Considerable experience with a programming language, preferably SQL, Python or R (Essential)
* 1-2 years’ experience with Tableau in a commercial role (Essential)
* A good working knowledge of mathematics and statistics (Essential)
* Strong analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and data visualisation tools (Essential)
* Experience of working on data analyst concepts e.g., modelling, prediction of trends, making data visual so that stakeholders do not have to take an extract of data and do their own dashboards/skunk BI (Essential)
* Experience implementing best practices around data and reporting (Essential)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills (Essential)
* Some understanding of Data Engineering or Software Engineering practices are ideal as you will be working with an Enterprise Data Hub (Desirable)
* Some understanding or experience working with cloud computing technologies (Desirable)
