What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational, enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of English. The successful candidate will be joining our school to be a part of one of our most effective and respected departments, working and collaborating with an exceptionally committed and talented team of practitioners.
Alongside the traditional GCSEs in English Language & Literature, the school offers A Levels in English Literature, English Language & Classical Civilisation. Student engagement across all key stages and qualifications offered by the department is exceptional. These consistently excellent results have been a major contributing factor to the extremely successful whole school outcomes that have been achieved in recent years. The school’s 2024 Progress 8 score of +0.11 was the seventh consecutive examination year where the school achieved a positive score on this key performance measure, and is a wonderful reflection of the talented and dedicated students and staff we have at the school.
This is a really exciting time to be joining our school and being part of an enthusiastic, forward-thinking and supportive team. Applications are invited from committed and passionate English specialists, who are excited by the opportunity of joining our thriving Catholic community. This post would suit both an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to secure a supportive school with which to start their ECT induction.
