The Strategic Pipeline Alliance (SPA) is searching for a Programme Manager to support and enhance our project delivery team. What will you be doing as our new Programme Manager ? You will lead and manage delivery of a section of the SPA pipeline and associated infrastructure, with accountability for the delivery of the enabling and construction work to the required safety, time, cost and quality parameters to ensure water security for the Anglian Water region. Your role is one of three Programme Managers on SPA and will have responsibility for the following sections: Current work: Non-Infra South, covering Non-Infra (i.e. pumping station, storage reservoirs, water treatment facilities etc) sites between Peterborough, Bexwell, and Wherstead. Value circa £50m to £100m. Future work: Future sections of Infra (i.e. pipeline) and Non-Infra in Cambridgeshire, Essex and Suffolk. Value circa £450m. You will be an exemplar in application of the company values, in driving HSW excellence, and in driving collaboration across the Alliance and promoting / enabling Alliancing behaviours. Key responsibilities: Leadership of construction and enabling works to deliver world class performance as expected of one of the largest water / environment programmes in the UK. Integration of programme delivery teams, bringing together and facilitating integration of functional specialists across design engineering, procurement, delivery, stakeholder engagement and consenting, construction, project management and commercial management. Ensuring that the quality of the works constructed meets the specified requirements, and that all quality records are provided as the work progresses. Leading or supporting stakeholder relationships and developing a culture of collaboration with all parties, in collaboration with the Stakeholder Management team. Driving consistency of approach across the programme including delivery, HSW, quality, sustainability and environment. Leading on the delivery of the section of the SPA programme to the required time, cost and quality parameters, including management of interfaces. Taking a leadership role in proactively managing risks and opportunities across the section of the SPA Programme, and identifying and resolving critical issues. Setting up the team to successfully take on the sections of the future Interconnector Programme, integrating delivery of the new work into the existing team and programme and incorporating best practice A little bit about your skills, experience and behaviours: A Senior leader with extensive previous experience of construction delivery of large complex infrastructure projects, ideally within the water sector. Experience of providing a clear vision and strategy for delivery and be able to communicate this both to their teams and wider internal and external stakeholders Skilled in the leadership and development of large collaborative teams (including the supply chain) to meet overall project objectives. Significant recent experience of construction management on major projects, with an implicit understanding of good practice. Excellent 'hands-on' organisational skills and ability to be decisive and provide clear direction, clarity and judgement when situations or information is complex to meet the overall project objectives A commercially focused and astute individual who ensures that project controls, schedule, cost and risk are proactively managed.
