Overview
Waters have recently created a team of elite highly focused individuals dedicated to hunting down net new and highly competitive business.
As a member of this team, you will be armed with the Waters consumables portfolio, tasked with building advocacy and stimulating growth in up-and-coming accounts, prospecting for new companies who are not familiar with Waters products and services, and breaking into highly competitive strongholds to increase market share. You will be accountable for a defined sales territory in the south of the UK with clear goals and a great deal of flexibility in how you approach this task. This is a remote field sales position and would suit an experienced field sales professional who is looking to reduce travel and work more flexibly.
Responsibilities
* Identify new prospect companies within your territory and develop a strategy to engage and introduce them to the Waters consumables portfolio.
* Investigate dormant accounts in order to re-stimulate growth.
* Increase market share in up-and-coming accounts, building advocacy for Waters consumable technology through customer success.
* Work closely with your field sales colleagues, capital sales colleagues, business development, and marketing to deliver a high degree of customer service and technical expertise.
Qualifications
Education:
* Science-related background and education would be beneficial.
Experience:
* Advantageous to have experience working in a laboratory with liquid chromatography and/or Mass Spectrometry machines.
* Advantageous to have experience within technical sales, particularly in Chemistry Consumables.
* Commercially focused with previous experience in solution selling would be an advantage.
Competencies:
* Highly passionate individual with perseverance and determination, plus the ability to work effectively in competitive sales situations.
* Proven skills in remote sales, from establishing contact and building rapport to managing sophisticated sales with multiple stakeholders using remote means.
* Customer-focused with a good level of active listening skills.
* Outstanding organisational skills.
* Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Solid team player with a high degree of self-motivation.
