Job Description Senior Accountant
We're on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Birkenhead on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for a range of essential duties, including:
* Expertly completing accounts and tax returns primarily for limited companies, alongside sole traders, and partnerships.
* Undertaking minimal bookkeeping tasks to ensure accurate financial records.
* Handling VAT returns with precision and adherence to regulatory standards.
* Overseeing and managing your own diverse portfolio of clients spanning various industries.
Engaging in client meetings and correspondence to address their financial needs and concerns effectively. As part of our dynamic team, you'll also benefit from a supportive work environment where collaboration and professional growth are encouraged. It's worth noting that this role does not entail payroll, sales, or administrative duties as these responsibilities are managed by dedicated departments within our organisation.
The Candidate

A pragmatic approach to work is highly valued.
Proficiency with technology is paramount, given the extensive use of various accounting software products in this role.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 3 years' experience in a practice setting. Preference will be given to candidates who are pursuing or have obtained qualifications such as ACCA, FCCA, ACA, FCA, AAT, or IFA. We also welcome applications from those who are part-qualified or qualified by experience.
