Description
The EHS and Fleet Compliance Officer will report into the Health, Safety and Compliance Manager. The role involves the development of EHSQ standards, driving compliance, and delivering performance. They will support teams onsite, in the field, and on a multisite level.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and maintain EHS fleet management standards and compliance.
2. Develop and implement strategies and programmes which will consistently deliver EHS targets.
3. Develop and maintain ISO EHS and energy management systems and all associated documentation.
4. Risk identification, assessment, communication, and control.
5. Generate, review and revise risk assessments, RAMs, SOPs, and training materials.
6. Support and maintain EHSQ software applications.
7. Support preventative maintenance, statutory inspection, and asset management systems.
8. Maintain a schedule of meetings, leading and presenting as necessary.
9. Responsible for walkthroughs, inspections, internal and external audits, coaching, and closing non-compliances.
10. Liaise with stakeholders, external auditors, clients, and regulatory authorities.
11. Develop and deliver internal training programmes; schedule and coordinate external training.
12. Guide and support teams within Operations, who work onsite and in the field ensuring correct behaviour minimizing error.
13. Work within cross-functional teams delivering collective and shared objectives.
14. Work with Operations coaching and developing personnel, champions, and EHSQ competency.
15. Maintain incident containment principles, incident investigation, cause analysis, return to work, and associated close outs.
16. Develop and maintain visual management systems, maintain KPI and trend data, generating periodic reports as necessary.
17. Generate various periodic technical and non-technical reports and submissions as necessary.
18. Coordinate fleet preventative and breakdown maintenance, ensuring minimal downtime.
19. Coordinate all fleet regulatory testing, inspection, and certification tasks, ensuring records are maintained.
20. Ensure DGSA / ADR expectations relating to the carriage of dangerous goods is delivered.
21. Deliver fleet compliance through regular audits and inspections.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
1. Third level qualification in environmental health & safety, engineering or related discipline - Level 7.
2. Minimum 3-5 years EHS, transport or fleet compliance.
3. Strong understanding of health and safety, dangerous goods, and fleet management principles.
4. Full driving License.
