About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Planner to join our team for a major £30 million energy carbon capture project. This landmark initiative, incorporating significant oil and gas elements, represents a pivotal step towards sustainable energy solutions. As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in the successful delivery of this project, working with a leading Tier 1 contractor renowned for its excellence and innovation in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning: Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring all activities align with the overall project plan and timelines.
2. Resource Allocation: Coordinate with various departments to allocate resources efficiently, ensuring the optimal use of personnel, equipment, and materials.
3. Progress Monitoring: Track project progress, identifying potential delays or issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep the project on schedule.
4. Reporting: Prepare and present regular progress reports to stakeholders, including project milestones, risks, and mitigation measures.
5. Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage project risks, implementing contingency plans to address potential challenges.
6. Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure clear communication and effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
7. Compliance: Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
8. Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and best practices in project planning and execution to enhance overall project efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications and Experience:
9. Proven experience as a Senior Planner in large-scale energy, carbon capture, or oil and gas projects.
10. Strong proficiency in project planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
11. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
13. In-depth knowledge of project management principles, risk management, and resource allocation.
14. Relevant degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
15. Professional certifications (e.g., PMI-SP, APM) are highly desirable.
