We are on the lookout for a driven and passionate Procurement Manager to come and join our team in Kendal, Cumbria on a full-time, permanent basis.
The purpose of this role is to manage and maintain a results focused Procurement function with effective purchasing, cost management and supplier management. Communicating and collaborating, assisting with effective decision making and contract negotiation ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.

* Job Title: Procurement Manager
* Compensation: We are keen to offer a competitive compensation package in line with the candidate skillsets and current market, therefore, we actively encourage candidates to disclose their salary expectations at screening stage.
* Hours: 37.5 per week - 8:30am to 5:00pm with 1 hour lunch.
* Location: Kendal, Cumbria
Role snapshot
The primary responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
* Comparing and evaluating offers from suppliers
* Negotiate supplier rates to ensure the rates meet budgeted requirements through continuous assessment of suppliers and meeting with key suppliers regularly.
* Maintaining good supplier relationships and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
* Create, track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
* Ownership of the internal supplier review process.
* Ownership of critical supplier appraisal process.
* Preparing budgets, cost analysis, and reports
About you
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience in Procurement/Supply Chain
* Exceptional communication skills suppliers and internal customers
* Persistence, attention to detail and organisation to achieve results
* Relevant Procurement Qualifications/Certifications
* Knowledge of Fleet Management (desirable)
* Knowledge of Shipping Regulations (desirable)
