As HSE Manager, based out of head office in Lisburn with some travel, you will be responsible for the overall management of safety compliance processes.
Our Client specialises in no-dig engineering services, pipeline investigation, and repair in the utility sector. Due to major contract awards in Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, and Scotland, they are looking to add a HSE Manager who will work in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Director, to ensure a safe and clean working environment is maintained.
If you are a self-starter, with of 5-10 years of progressive HSE experience, then this could your next move. You will also need strong people skills, with the ability to motivate and empower, to be a strong communicator, and able to take the initiative and function independently.

As HSE Manager your duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:
1. In coordination with business leaders, provide knowledge and education on Health and Safety regulations.
2. Communicate and review company HSE policies.
3. Manage the various safety management databases.
4. Provide problem resolution that results in changes and/or enhancements to process and/or project.
5. Independently apply knowledge to resolve problems in a timely manner.
6. Contribute to problem identification and solution by analysis.
7. Assist in the building of Platform training documents.
8. Own the regional emergency preparedness processes.
9. Effectively manage workplace incidents to a resolution.
10. Create, manage, and review site-specific safety plans.
To be considered for this role you will have:
11. A minimum of 5-10 years of progressive Health, Safety and Environmental experience.
12. Experience working with regulatory agencies, external auditors and internal clients is necessary.
13. You must have safety training experience.
14. A working knowledge of company drug and alcohol policies.
15. The ability to work with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance.
16. Demonstrate the ability to plan and implement process projects in a timely manner.
17. Ability to read, analyse, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; draft reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information to individuals or groups (management, clients, customers, general public) and respond to questions.
18. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations and apply basic statistical, algebraic, and geometric concepts, such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volumes, etc.
19. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists and interpret various instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
