Business Development Manager
A Reading based established Steel tube punching manufacturer that specializes in slotted and laser cut steel tube for the retail market is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to take the reins of their sales division, with the potential to progress to a sales director position with the autonomy to build a team.
The Business Development Manager will work alongside two directors and a team that solely focuses on laser cut steel tube or traditionally punched steel tube. The company has a strong pipeline of work with some incredible names as long-term partnerships, and they are looking to capitalize on the fact they are one of the only companies left in the UK who can traditionally punch steel tube as well as laser cutting and flow drilling capabilities.

Ideally, you would have a background in steel, construction, or manufacturing.

The Business Development Manager Role
The successful Business Development Manager will be the sole sales function of the business, looking after and nurturing current accounts with a real focus on new business development. You'll be looking to curate long-term sustainable partnerships with fit-out contractors who typically fit out large retail stores with punched tube shelving.
You'll be responsible for identifying key decision-makers in the upper parts of the supply chain to increase the company's presence earlier in the process.
The company is also open to diversifying their clientele from retail into other markets such as defense, security, healthcare, and construction, so if your background is from those industries, that would be beneficial.
The role itself is a hybrid role, which you can shape - whether that's in the office, out meeting potential clients, or working from home; autonomy is encouraged here.
Typically, the company delivers slotted tube for some of the country's biggest retail outfits.

* Good knowledge of steel processing
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with internal teams and external clients.
