Job summary
We are seeking to recruit 2 fixed term Consultants in Anaesthetics. These posts will initially be for 12 months with a view to making permanent at the end of term. This will be via an Appointments committee.
We are a busy anaesthetic department with a commitment to train both local and international trainees and have an active educational programme. The successful candidate will hold the FRCA or equivalent and have evidence of extensive experience within anaesthesia. We particularly welcome applications from motivated individuals keen to invest in the development of our services and who will contribute to a positive departmental culture.
Main duties of the job
Successful applicants will undertake anaesthetic sessions across a broad range of surgical specialties, including Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery, Trauma and Orthopaedics, Maxillo-facial, Urology and Gynaecology.
The Anaesthetic departments at University Hospitals across all sites, are extremely forward thinking and have established themselves within the research arena, with multiple presentations at National and International meetings.
St Richard's Hospital is currently the largest NHS bariatric surgery provider in the south of England, we welcome applications from candidates with a bariatric interest. The hospital is located between the sea and the South Downs National Park, giving ample opportunity to pursue a variety of different interests.
