Start date: 01 April 2025 - 18 month fixed term contract
Shift pattern:
From 1st April to 30 June 2025, you will be working Tuesday to Thursday, 6am - 6pm. From 1st July 2025, we will move to a Double Day shift pattern - Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm or 2pm 10pm (alternated weekly).
Starting salary:
£31,019 per annum, rising to £31,679 on successful completion of 3-month probation. Moving to £39,599 when working Double Day shift. Plus highly competitive overtime payments.
The role
We are looking to recruit Senior BPS Operators to join our growing team. The role of a Senior BPS Operator is to ensure that the bank note processing machine output is maximised, and quality standards are maintained, whilst adhering to health and safety
regulations and team leads the operators in a Bay.
Duties within the role include, but is not limited to:
Maximise machine efficiency to produce consistently high output and quality.
Problem solving on the machine, identifying technical problems and providing solutions.
Control and monitor associated paperwork and computer records to provide accurate documentation.
Ensures the integrity and security of the area is maintained
Liaise with Team Leaders and QC to ensure quality standards are met
Ensure machine is run in a safe & proper manner
Ensure waste levels are minimised.
Work to continually improve performance.
Continuously monitoring the quality of the product and making the necessary process adjustments to ensure quality is maintained and waste is kept to a minimum
Meet production targets set by management.
Escalate any machine malfunctions in line with escalation procedures.
Ensure a full and efficient shift changeover occurs and the correct information is communicated concerning the handing over of the machine and quality of work.
Actively support continuous improvement activities within the whole of DLR in order to maintain the company’s efficiency and competitively
Understand the interface with OBIS to ensure quality standards are achieved with minimum spoilage
Directs staff to pack and label notes correctly.
To conduct half year and annual PDR reviews for BPS Operators and finishing assistants
To support the behaviour of working as One De La Rue, sharing best practice and collaborating with colleagues outside of own sphere of business.
To ensure full participation in the performance development review (PDR) process and maintain an up to date record of all training and development activities/programs.
