Job Description: IPS Employment Specialist in Trowbridge and North Wiltshire, working with clients, health professionals, and employers to secure sustainable paid employment with improved social inclusion and wellbeing.
The Role: Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, providing person-centred advice and guidance to clients, building relationships with local employers, and supporting clients through six key stages: outreach/referral, vocational profiling, action planning, job search, job placement, and managing withdrawal of support.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Manage a caseload of 20 clients with mental health support needs, motivated to start/return to work.
* Deliver the IPS approach, meeting and supporting clients to understand their key skills, aspirations, and goals.
* Assess client support needs, provide benefits/welfare advice, and disclose mental health symptoms.
* Attend weekly clinical team meetings, source job opportunities, and provide education and support to employers.
* Build relationships with colleagues, generate referrals, and create collaborative working partnerships.
* Provide quality service through regular visits, effective monitoring, and in-work support to clients and employers.
* Challenge inequalities, address discrimination, and promote the service to employers.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Experience working with people with mental health support needs or a similar client group.
* Experience working one-to-one with clients.
* Proven experience meeting and exceeding outcomes and targets.
* Experience managing multiple tasks, working assertively to influence decision makers, and supporting people to obtain or keep work.
* Experience working within mental health services and delivering a service using the IPS model.
