A Cover Supervisor plays a vital role in the education of secondary pupils by providing a seamless gap in learning in the short-term absence of a Teacher.
Basic role responsibilities:
1. Supervising students and maintaining a structured environment in the absence of the regular teacher.
2. Delivering pre-planned lessons.
3. Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring students remain on task.
4. Assisting with educational resources.
5. Collaborating with teaching staff and senior leaders.
