If so, we'd love to hear from you Here at Peabody, we have a fantastic opportunity for a Specialist Outreach Support Worker to join our team in Essex on a fixed-term basis for 12 months. In this role, you'll play a key part in providing tailored support and guidance to individuals facing homelessness, mental health challenges, or other socio-economic difficulties. Flexibility is essential, as this role involves travelling across multiple locations within our community outreach portfolio. A Bit About the Role: As a Specialist Outreach Support Worker, you'll provide high-quality, trauma-informed support that empowers individuals to overcome barriers and achieve greater stability in their lives. This role requires compassion, resilience, and strong communication skills to effectively engage with clients and help them navigate various support services. Please note - You must have a full UK driving licence and have access to your own vehicle. This role will be based out of our Pembroke House office in Basildon, but the role will be site based across Brentwood, Epping & Harlow. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one outreach support to vulnerable clients across Essex, focusing on homelessness prevention, tenancy sustainment, and improving overall wellbeing. Collaborate with colleagues and partner organisations to deliver comprehensive support, including attending multi-agency meetings and estate walkabouts as needed. Assist clients with complex needs, including accessing mental health services, addiction support, and other community resources. Report any safeguarding concerns or potential risks to the appropriate colleagues and agencies, ensuring client safety and wellbeing. Conduct initial assessments and develop tailored support plans, guiding clients towards self-advocacy and encouraging engagement with additional services. Adhere to company health and safety guidelines, promptly addressing and reporting any hazards in the course of outreach activities.
