About the role: Whilst receiving direction from the IMS Lead and Quality Director, you will provide guidance and technical support to operational staff in relation to quality standards to ensure the Company’s adherence to AS9100 and UK CAA regulations, as well as customer requirements. General day to day duties will include: Performing final inspection of the products and signing of compliance conformity certificates i.e. FORM 1/ 8130-1 and COC. Supporting the IMS Lead and Operations Manager with implementation and adherence to the site QMS, as well as regulatory and customer requirements Lead non-conformance investigations both internal and external Build internal & external customer satisfaction by supporting product / process improvements Drive timely processing of customer-returned zero flight hour units Perform Material Review Board (MRB) activities including Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, dispositions, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transactions Utilise structured problem-solving to action / close Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) on time Help to drive a business-wide quality improvement culture, identifying & leading projects, acting as a role model and strengthening our just culture approach Conduct product & process audits, as required, and support external audits, as required About you: You'll have strong knowledge of AS9100 (latest revision) Quality Management System standards with working knowledge on FORM 1 / 8130-3 certificate to release Familiar with inspection techniques and AQL levels Demonstrable experience of leading & completing cross-functional RCCA investigations, using a variety of structured problem-solving techniques (e.g. 8D methodology, 5 Whys, Fishbones) Ability to read / interpret technical drawings and specifications with diligence and attention to detail Working knowledge of non-conforming material containment and dispositioning activities Demonstrable experience of the application of RCCA tools and techniques Knowledge of general manufacturing and assembly, and electronic / electrical test techniques Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) Internal audit certified / recent experience in performing audits Working knowledge and experience of using a variety of measurement equipment, e.g. verniers, micrometres, gauges, CMM, shadowgraphs and OGPs Benefits At Ontic we care about your financial, physical, and mental wellness so we offer a range of benefits to support this, we care about what matters to you and have a valued culture of recognition and empowerment, accompanied by benefits that support work/life balance.
