Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer - AWS to Azure Migration Location: Remote - occasional travel to the Cardiff office Salary/Rate: Up to £586 a day Inside IR35 Start Date: January Job Type: 6-month contract (with scope to extend) Company Introduction We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our client in the Analytics industry. The successful candidate will be working on a cloud migration from AWS to Azure. You will be a part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team. Required Skills/Experience Creation and use of Terraform to create and manage Infrastructure Experience of Kubernetes and/or Azure Container Apps in a production environment, building, maintaining and troubleshooting Strong, demonstratable experience and understanding of azure and k8s networking, including ingress and egress and Authentication/security. CI/CD Pipeline creation and management (e.g. Github actions, GitOps, Helm, ArgoCD) Professional experience of working with production environments in the public cloud - Azure, AWS. Coding and scripting experience Use of Secret Management services e.g - Hashicorp Vault Experience of working with Docker containers, building, maintaining and troubleshooting Hands-on experience of Linux server including support and troubleshooting. Observability, System and application monitoring - e.g. ELK, Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios etc. Communication & Collaboration: Ability to work closely with developers Problem solving: Ability to identify issues and solve them. Strong interest in automation of processes. Self starter/work without being directed Job Responsibilities/Objectives Delivery of resilient application stacks via "Infrastructure as Code" and other DevOps practices Monitoring and on-going support of critical, high revenue business applications Diagnosis and resolution of complex system and application issues Working with diverse technical and non-technical teams, including Development, QA, IT Operations, Customer Operations and Project Management teams Write and maintain systems / application documentation for technical and non-technical Setting up and provisioning of new cloud based environments Desirable Skills/Experience Strong experience and proven background working in a technical, Cyber Security related position. BSc Engineering/Computer Science/IT Security or relevant experience.
