An exciting opportunity has arisen for a temporary (6 month), part-time Band 3 Administrative Assistant in the Community Governance Team within Northumbria Healthcare Trust. The post will be based at Wansbeck General Hospital, Ashington and will be part of the Community Business Unit Governance Team which includes the Governance Lead, Information Specialist, Transformation Manager/Strategic Analyst, Admin Manager, Governance Administrators and linked with the Health and Safety Advisor for Community.
The post holder must be able to demonstrate that they have the ability to prioritise and manage the competing demands of role to support the Community Governance Team including the taking of meeting minutes, diary management, arranging events etc. The post holder will report directly to the Administrative Lead.
This post, although based at Wansbeck General Hospital, is working for the Community Services Business Unit Governance Team responsible for ensuring compliance and good practice within community services such as District Nursing, Palliative Care, Podiatry and many more.

The post holder will be expected to carry out administrative duties including but not limited to:
Co-ordinate meetings, book venues and catering, produce agendas and type minutes.
Point of contact for service.
To answer the telephone and take messages.
Organise travel as required if/when required.
Producing documentation using Word Processing, Spreadsheets and emails as appropriate including letters, memos and minutes from meetings.
To work in collaboration with other services within the Business Unit and Trust, this will require traveling to other Trust sites.
To maintain documents in a structured and retrievable manner.

The post holder will:
Provide administrative support to the Governance team within the Community Business Unit.
Arrange, type up agendas and take minutes for a number of meetings within the Business Unit.
Check generic email inbox and act on queries as appropriate or signpost to relevant area.
Acts as the first point of contact for enquiries.
