Our client, a well-regarded secondary school based in Romford, is looking to appoint a passionate Teacher of Food Technology to join their thriving Design & Technology department. The school prides itself on fostering a culture of high expectations, creativity, and practical learning across all year groups.
The Role:
* Teaching Food Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4
* Delivering engaging, hands-on lessons that develop students’ culinary skills, nutrition knowledge, and understanding of healthy lifestyles
* Planning, preparing, and assessing learning in line with the national curriculum
* Contributing to curriculum development and extracurricular activities within the department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or working towards it (for ECTs)
* Experience or strong subject knowledge in Food Technology
* A solid understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations in the classroom
* The ability to inspire and motivate students with a love for food, cooking, and creativity
* Strong classroom management and organisational skills
