Job summary
To be an integral member of the Therapy Rehab Service, providing prompt assessment and delivery of therapeutic treatments to patients in liaison with other members of the therapy team.
To take responsibility for designated elements of the patient treatment protocols and delivery of such treatments.
To act as a technical resource to the Therapy department, in relation to the provision of mobility equipment.
To document, evaluate and liaise with qualified Physiotherapists or Occupational Therapists following interventions.
To be responsible for the completion and potential delegation of non-clinical tasks within the Therapy Rehab Service and wider Therapy teams
To work as part of the weekend Therapy Service weekend Service.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential
10. Good level of education to GCSE standard (at least 3 subjects)
11. Grade C GCSE or equivalent in English
Desirable
12. NVQ level II or III in Health care
13. Manual handling or First Aid qualification
EXPERIENCE
Essential
14. Able to accept and undertake responsibility for designated tasks
15. Previous work as a Therapy assistant or allied profession
16. Previous work in healthcare environment and experience of patients with physical environment
17. Experience in orthopaedics
Desirable
18. Six months experience within a customer care (face to face) environment
19. Experience in neurology and people with cognitive impairments
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
Essential
20. Clear, concise verbal and written communication to ensure liaison with multidisciplinary team, patients and carers to ensure records and reports are accurate, legal and in legible manner (in English)
21. Demonstrate good organisational skills
22. Demonstrate insight into the importance of maintaining a safe working environment
23. Ability to learn / ability to selfinitiate learning (evidence within the last 2 years)
24. Basic computer skills
