Sales Design Consultant - Catering Equipment
Location: London, Watford, Slough, Stevenage, Luton, Harlow, St Albans.
Package: £38,000-£50,000 + OTE 20% of base salary

The Company:
We are a leading Commercial Kitchen Design House for the hospitality industry. We are looking to add to our design sales team. Established as a leading solution provider for the HoReCa sector with a strong reputation around the UK. We have an excellent relationship with leading heavy and light equipment manufacturers for the hospitality sector, which helps us bring a diverse range of products to our clients. After a highly successful 2023, we are looking to expand our design team offering with additions to our Design Sales team.
The Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Design Consultant to join our growing team in a leading catering equipment design house. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in designing innovative commercial kitchens and delivering tailored solutions to clients across the hospitality and foodservice industries.
As a Sales Design Consultant, you will:
1. Consult with clients to understand their vision, space constraints, and operational needs.
2. Design bespoke commercial kitchens, ensuring efficient workflow, compliance with industry standards, and optimal use of space.
3. Produce detailed CAD drawings and visualizations to present to clients.
4. Drive sales by pitching custom solutions, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
5. Stay informed on the latest trends and innovations in catering equipment and kitchen design.
6. Manage the end-to-end process from design to installation, working closely with internal teams and external contractors.
7. Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
8. Lead projects from concept through to completion, ensuring all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The Person:
The ideal candidate will be a motivated and commercially minded designer with a passion for creating efficient and aesthetically pleasing commercial kitchen environments. You will bring strong sales acumen and excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver projects successfully.
Key requirements:
1. Proven experience in sales and design within the catering or foodservice industry.
2. Expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) with the ability to produce accurate and detailed designs.
3. A strong understanding of commercial kitchen operations and catering equipment.
4. A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
5. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
6. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
7. Knowledge of UK food safety, fire safety, and building regulations is essential.
8. A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
