Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* During the Apprenticeship (1-5 years) College will be on a day release basis as required where you will study towards the Level 6 Manufacturing Engineering Apprenticeship Standard with a Materials pathway. Whilst in work you will sit within the Product Development Department and interact with all the relevant interfacing departments to gain all the specific skills and knowledge that you and our business needs.
* Your final apprentice year will be the completion of the Level 6 degree including End Point Assessment (EPA) focusing on the completion of your dissertation, both at work and the college.
* You will gain understanding of the principles, processing and testing of materials for use in Subsea Connectors and associated products.
* Have the chance to work in a variety of departments and develop skills in manufacturing, testing, analysing, process and product fault diagnosis, and development.
* Develop your planning, delivery, and quality skills by working alongside skilled professionals.
* You will work with the relevant industry standards and specifications and ensure conformity.
