Teaching Personnel is currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in the Hamworthy area. We’re seeking a caring and proactive individual to assist students with a variety of needs, including special educational needs (SEN), social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges, and other learning barriers. Key Responsibilities: Provide targeted support to students in lessons, small groups, or one-to-one settings. Support teachers with lesson delivery to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum. Promote student independence and help build their confidence in learning. Assist in implementing tailored strategies for pupils with SEN. Help manage and de-escalate behaviour appropriately, in line with school policies. Work collaboratively with school staff to maintain a safe, inclusive, and productive learning environment. What We’re Looking For: Experience: Prior experience supporting secondary-aged students, particularly those with SEN or additional needs. Knowledge: Understanding of SEN and SEMH support strategies.
