Advanced Primary Care Clinical Pharmacist – Band 8A
Marr area of Aberdeenshire – base to be agreed at interview.

Marr – Aboyne /Alford/Banchory/Ballater/Braemar/Bydand (Huntly)/Torphins/Strathdon GP Practices and Aboyne, Jubilee & Glen O Dee Community Hospitals
We are looking for enthusiastic experienced Pharmacist(s) to join the Pharmacy team within the Marr area of Aberdeenshire. 37 hours per week are available; part time may be considered (minimum of 22.2 hours per week).
As part of the Aberdeenshire Pharmacy Team you will be expected to lead, oversee and develop the pharmacy service to GP practices and Community Hospitals including: medication/polypharmacy reviews/clinics utilising independent prescribing; medicines reconciliation; actioning hospital discharge letters; actioning acute and repeat prescription requests; providing prescribing advice to any member of the health care team; reviewing prescribing data; undertaking audit; answering ad-hoc queries; attending multi-disciplinary team meetings; supporting social care colleagues with medication-related issues in care at home services. In addition, you will have a role in supervising and training other members of the HSCP pharmacy team, including supervision of undergraduate student placements.
All candidates must have a degree in Pharmacy and be on the practicing register of the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC); have an Independent Prescribing qualification and a relevant postgraduate pharmacy qualification (minimum diploma level)/professional accreditations or demonstration of acquisition of equivalent knowledge through significant post qualification experience; extensive clinical knowledge; good IT skills; excellent communication and interpersonal skills; be a car driver and have access to a car.
