In this role, reporting to the Director of Marketing, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: · Create engaging content that aligns with the hotel’s brand while being current and on trend. · Develop, plan, and execute social calendar across all organic social channels. · Own communication between brand and hotel of social media and content best practices. · Drive consistent brand voice and visual identity across all social media platforms. · Support the development of content calendars, ensuring timely postings that align with brand campaigns and key seasonal events. · Produce high-quality content, including copy, photos and videos, for website, social media, digital and print advertising. · Manage all social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok) for Fairmont Empress with support from the Director Marketing/PR. · Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to establish social media goals, review monthly reports, sharing with the Marketing Team as well as identify areas of future focus and strategies. · Collaborate with the Director of Public Relation on influencer visits and content creation. · Contribute to management of the Marketing/PR team’s overall annual plans. · Assist with the planning and execution of photo/video shoots including pre and post production for web and social platforms. · Adhering to all Fairmont Hotels & Resorts sales standard and uphold the highest standard of internal and external customer service at all times. · Miscellaneous assignments as required. Qualifications Your experience and skills include: · Post-secondary education in communications, marketing, journalism, or public relations; OR · A minimum of four (4) years of professional writing, copyediting, and proofreading experience, or experience in a communications-related field; OR · An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. · Exemplary writing and editing skills, experience with social media and graphic design. · Working knowledge of Adobe Programs including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator. · Working knowledge of Word, Excel, Opera and Cision applications is preferred. · Video production and video editing skills is preferred and considered a key asset. · Exceptional interpersonal skills. Must demonstrate strong collaborative skills and the ability to work in a team-orientated environment. · Enjoy a variety of tasks that require flexibility and administrative support. Must be able to correspond with Department, Guest & Business demands. · A passion for Guest Service and a desire to be a part of a driven team. · Must be able to thrive in a fast-past environment and manage multiple tasks.
