About the Opportunity: In order to support the growth of the Nuclear Assurance, Technology and Regulation business, we is seeking a skilled and experienced Nuclear Engineer to be based in our Bristol MoD Project Office. As a Nuclear Engineer you will be working within an established yet growing team operating within Consultancy & Defence Integrator Solutions Business, supporting the Ministry of Defence in the Nuclear Submarine Programme. Role Responsibilities: - To provide authoritative advice to MoD in support of their internal governance processes - To act as a Subject Matter Expert in relevant technical areas, providing technical advice to MoD - Representing the team in internal and external project and technical meetings - Identifying commercial opportunities and ensuring that appropriate follow-up actions are taken - Experience within the, naval nuclear propulsion programme and detailed knowledge of naval reactor plant or the UK Submarine Enterprise - Degree or equivalent in a relevant science or engineering discipline - Hold or be working towards Chartered status - Hold or be working towards an appropriate Project Management Qualification - Flexibility with the ability to travel as the demands of the role dictates - Working knowledge of Safety Case construct and production - Working knowledge of UK Regulatory systems and the organisations involved - Ability to work across a range of tasks and liaise with stakeholders at all levels This role is ideal for a confident and ambitious Engineer, several years into their career or a seasoned veteran.
