Role Overview: As a Senior HR Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our client's HR operations. Reporting to the HR Manager, you'll oversee essential HR processes, including payroll, database management, and supporting recruitment activities. You’ll also supervise a small team, so confidence and leadership are essential. Key Responsibilities Support the HR Manager with daily HR operations and assist colleagues across the business. Manage personnel records and ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Handle payroll processes and manage employee attendance and sickness records. Play an active role in the recruitment and onboarding of new team members. Conduct exit interviews, return-to-work meetings, and address employee queries. Act as a First Aider and Health & Safety representative. Ensure HR documentation is up-to-date and compliant with employment laws. Stay informed about current employment legislation and HR best practices. Person Specification: The Ideal Candidate Will Have 4 years of HR experience, ideally in a law firm. Hold CIPD Level 3/Certificate in People Practice (or working towards Level 5). Be proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills. Have a proactive, flexible approach to problem-solving and multi-tasking. Show a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information. Be a true team player, with a collaborative mindset.
