Salary Range: £64,000 - £75,000 per annum, depending on relevant skills, knowledge and experience. The expected salary range for this role reflects internal benchmarking and external market insights. London weighting may apply.
Location: London with regular travel to London and other BBC sites

BBC Media Operations is at the heart of delivering incredible content across all our platforms for all audiences. Our team captures, edits, and produces output 24/7 for TV, radio, and digital platforms. We work closely with our editorial colleagues to co-create content that reaches millions of people across the UK and the world daily.
Main Responsibilities
The Operations Executive, Audio, London will lead the Audio Operations team and is a key member of the Media Operations management team. You will work and partner with senior editorial teams in Radio, Podcasting and technology. This role involves close collaboration with the team’s Operations Managers and is responsible for some of the BBC’s most high-profile audio and podcast content.
* Serve as a highly visible and trusted leader, focusing on effective management and enhancing staff engagement.
* Oversee the department’s operational staff, managing performance, training, and development.
* Collaborate with production partners to ensure the delivery of high-quality content.
* Align with divisional and departmental objectives to formulate viable and strategic business plans.
* Effectively manage and control the team budget, including the management and negotiation of contracts.
* Ensure timely provision of accurate expenditure forecasts and progress reports.
* Stay abreast of industry developments and new technology.
* Ensure that teams working in challenging environments are motivated.
* Maintain and develop close working relationships within our audio teams and other trading partners.
* Assess actual and potential risks to maintain efficiencies.
* As a senior manager in a 24/7 operation, there will be some out of office hours responsibilities.
* Contribute to the smooth running of our global radio output and podcast productions.
