The Role: Production Engineer

What You’ll Do:
As a Production Engineer, you will be Responsible for designing products and developing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality control, to bring innovative products to market and continuously improve manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities:
* Design and develop machine tooling, products, and systems using CAD software.
* Create detailed engineering drawings and documentation.
* Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency and quality.
* Conduct feasibility studies and design reviews.
* Build and test prototypes; transition to full-scale production.
* Provide technical support and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
* Collaborate with quality control to implement assurance protocols.
* Lead projects to improve processes and technologies.
* Analyze production costs and implement cost-saving measures.
* Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
* Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies for continuous improvement.
* Train and develop production staff on new technologies.
* Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Who You Are:
* Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is preferential, or relevant role experience combined with HND Qualification would be considered.
* Relevant experience in a manufacturing and/or design engineering role.
* Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other engineering tools.
* Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong project management and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus.
