Please note that the role is field/home based. You will provide financial decision-making support to the dairies and to act as finance lead in driving improvements in dairies performance. To ensure site budgets and capital investments are optimised and to act as business partner to the Head of Manufacturing. Senior Financial Controller key responsibilities will include: - Responsible for the management and development of the site finance business partners Drive consistency and standardisation in ways of working across all sites and drive synergies in completion of month end Build effective collaboration and sharing of best practice among the site finance business partners Act as deputy for Head of Financial Controlling - Manufacturing where required Support Commercial teams with new Tenders by ensuring the costings provided are robust, transparent and key cost drivers are understood Ensure adherence to group standard costing methodology Oversee the month end process, ensuring that the management accounts accurately report sites income and expenditures, and closing balance sheet. Provide the site management team and MMI leadership with clear, timely and accurate analysis, and explanations of the financial impact of performance Ensure there is accurate and clear reporting to the site leadership across all sites under control and that the ways of working are consistent. Review and drive improvements in white milk and cream forecasting and performance metrics. Support the sites to deliver on functional targets. Drive and manage standardised financial based KPI metrics for the sites and report these to the site management teams and MMI leadership on daily/ weekly/ monthly cycles. Coordinate and facilitate the detailed budget and forecasting process including explaining business impacts to Internal, Functional and Group colleagues and ensuring alignment with the value add sites. Work with site finance business partners and site teams to review investment opportunities for the sites and support wider team in reviewing network design options Provide robust financial modelling and systems solutions to new business opportunities across all manufacturing processes. Support adhoc delivery of projects both for the wider manufacturing and controlling teams Build relationships with Group colleagues to support implementation of group standards and sharing of ideas and best practice between BUs. Work collaboratively with the manufacturing controlling team to share best practice, improve processes and ensure consistency of approach across all sites. Identify areas for improvement in reporting and where necessary influence key stakeholders to implement Business Partner Heads of Manufacturing and site teams, helping them to understanding financial performance across full P&L and identify opportunities for improvement. Provide support to Ingredients and Commercial teams with regards to cost implications of new volumes/products and E2E projects. Effectively challenge site teams to drive performance and focus on value add initiatives. Provide support and challenge on all areas of the site strategy Key skills & experience for the Senior Management Accountant: - Qualified Accountant with 5 yrs PQE Proven experience in FMCG with the ability to operate at all levels Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage and influence SAP experience Able to develop strong and independent relationships with Manufacturing leads Ability to drive improved controls within site teams Understand full processes to enable accurate reporting of performance. Drive change agenda from a financial perspective Self-starter with the ability to business partner and influence decision making within site leadership team.
