Ryde School seeks to appoint a full-time Teacher of Mathematics to work in the Senior Section of the School (Year 7 to Sixth Form). Candidates should be able to teach Mathematics to A Level and/or IBDP, with experience of teaching A Level Further Mathematics or IB Higher Level Mathematics desirable but not a requirement. All teaching staff at the School are expected to be outstanding practitioners in the classroom and to contribute to the busy co-curricular life in the School.
This is a full-time post that would suit anyone wanting to play an integral and rewarding role in a collaborative, forward-thinking and dynamic Mathematics Department. The ideal candidate will be able to teach from Year 7 up to A Level Mathematics, with experience of teaching A Level Further Mathematics and/or IB HL Mathematics desirable but not essential. Pupil achievements in the subject are impressive ranging from strong GCSE grades to the most able pupils being offered places at Oxbridge and other leading universities. Top candidates for this post will be able to teach across this ability range and should hold a degree in mathematics or a maths-related discipline.
